Qu’il ait joué dans les pubs des East End Docks londoniens pendant son adolescence ou qu’il dirige aujourd’hui son Rhythm and Blues Orchestra en vendant des millions de disques au cours de ce siècle, c'est sa passion pour la musique qui a fait de Jools Holland un doyen de la scène musicale.

En 2003, Jools a reçu un OBE (Officer of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire) pour ses services à l'industrie musicale britannique. Le pianiste a le statut unique d’avoir joué avec des musiciens qui ont connu le succès durant chaque décennie du 20e siècle. Egalement compositeur, band leader et présentateur de télévision, Jools a présenté de nombreux programmes musicaux anglais tels que The Tube.

A part ses performances mémorables, Jools a maintenu une carrière stable avec sa série à succès Jools Holland and Friends, une collaboration avec des artistes tels que Sting, George Harrison, Norah Jones, Eric Clapton, David Gilmour, Bono, etc. Pour ce concert, Jools sera sur scène avec un batteur et quatre chanteurs de renom. Invité spécial : nul autre que Marc Almond OBE, mythique chanteur du groupe Soft Cell (Tainted Love, Say Hello Wave Goodbye) et l’incomparable chanteuse et compositrice Ruby Turner, qui a accompagné des stars internationales telles que Bryan Ferry, Steve Winwood ou encore Mick Jagger.

Neben seinen unvergesslichen Auftritten als Pianist und Fernsehmoderator hat Jools in seiner erfolgreichen Serie Jools Holland and Friends auch mit Künstlern wie Sting, George Harrison, Norah Jones, Eric Clapton, David Gilmour, Bono u.a. zusammengearbeitet.

Für dieses Konzert wird Jools mit einem Schlagzeuger und vier renommierten Sängern auf der Bühne stehen. Special Guest: Marc Almond OBE, Sänger von Soft Cell (Tainted Love, Say Hello Wave Goodbye) und die Sängerin und Komponistin Ruby Turner, backing vocalist für Stars wie Bryan Ferry, Steve Winwood oder Mick Jagger.

From playing pubs in the East End docks as a teenage greaser to leading his Rhythm and Blues Orchestra and selling millions of records this century, it is his passion for music that has made South East London born Jools Holland into a doyen of the music scene. Jools was awarded an OBE in 2003 for his services to the British music industry. Jools holds the unique status of performing with musicians who have achieved success in every decade of the 20th Century.

As well as formidable live performances, Jools has maintained a prolific recording career since signing to Warner Music in 1996, which includes the multimillion selling Jools Holland and Friends series, for which he worked with artists including Sting, George Harrison, Norah Jones, Eric Clapton, David Gilmour, Bono, and many more.

For this concert, Jools Holland will be on stage with drummer George Latham and four special vocalists: Marc Almond from Soft Cell (Tainted Love, Say Hello Wave Goodbye), singer and composer Ruby Turner, who has been a backing vocalist for Bryan Ferry, Steve Winwood or Mick Jagger, Louise Marshall and Beth Rowley.
